Examination & Cleaning
A regular check up enables your dentist to find and address current oral health and dental issues, discuss planned treatment and prevent more serious issues from developing. This reduces the risk of expensive or extensive dental treatment. The average check up and clean requires at least 30 minutes, though a thorough examination may take up to 90 minutes.
Crowns & Veneers
A crown is an artificial restoration that covers the remaining part of a tooth that has been professionally prepared. Crowns are used to repair and strengthen damaged teeth and to improve the appearance of a tooth including shape, colour and apparent alignment. Veneers are used to correct discolouration and imperfections in the front teeth. We offer the most affordable veneer packages on the Gold Coast. 8 Direct composite veneers is $2900. 8 milled composite veneers with teeth whitening and grinding guard is $4900. Upgrade to premium porcelain from $7900. Deluxe Boutique porcelain $9900.
Implants
Technically, the implant itself refers only to the titanium screw. This screw is secured into the jaw, acting as an artificial tooth root. This provides the support for the abutment and crown that form the rest of the prosthetic tooth. A dental implant, if taken care of properly, is expected to last upwards of forty years. A dental implant costs between $3500 and $4900 depending on the need for bone grafting or other procedures.
Root & Canal Therapy
Root Canal treatments eliminate pain caused by infection in the tooth, allowing the area to remain healthy and for the tooth to be retained for many years. Root Canal treatment may be necessary if the tissue that supplies blood and nerve endings to the tooth becomes infected, inflamed or has severe swelling.
Extractions
As a result of decay, infection or trauma, the tooth may need to be extracted to prevent further health complications. A tooth may also be extracted due to overcrowding of the mouth to prepare for orthodontics.

Orthodontics
Crooked or abnormally arranged teeth can be associated with oral health risks. Braces and orthodontics can be used to align the teeth and eliminate any problems that may be present while eating, speaking or practicing dental hygiene. At Teeth on Ferry our dedicated team provides developmental screening for all children to identify the need for orthodontics at an early age.
Mouthguards
Injuries to the teeth, jaw and gums are relatively common in children and their effects can be catastrophic to their proper development. Good habits for use of protective equipment such as a mouthguard should commence as soon as children start participating in organised sport.
Wisdom Tooth Removal
Wisdom teeth only require removal if they are causing, or are likely to cause, problems. If the tooth is impacted (partially emerged), food may become trapped around the tooth. This can lead to decay, gum disease, cellulitis, abscesses, cysts and benign growths. Antibiotics and antiseptic mouthwash may treat these problems, though removal of the tooth is often necessary.
First Visit
Children should attend their first dental check up at the age of 2 years. The initial visit and annual follow up appointments should focus on familiarisation with both the equipment and the dentist in order to build trust. This is recommended until the child is comfortable with the dentist examining and cleaning their teeth.
